HaiCo is tasked with improving the economic, social, cultural and environmental well-being of the Haida People and creating new careers and opportunities for the future. HaiCo has the following four goals:
A Letter of Expectation between the Council of the Haida Nation and HaiCo outlines the respective roles and responsibilities of each party, providing the basis of agreement on corporate mandate including high-level performance expectations, policy issues and strategic priorities.
HaiCo is the overarching corporate entity and will have several operating subsidiaries underneath, each with its own business line. HaiCo currently manages Aquaculture, Forestry, and Tourism.
The intention of this website is to keep Haida members informed as to the activities of HaiCo and its subsidiaries, as well as current job opportunities available under each business line.
